A direct lead-leg kick that chambers the knee first, extends down the center, and retracts before landing.

Three-phase movement
Build it clean.
- 01
Setup
Balance over the rear leg and lift the lead knee straight up while keeping the foot close underneath it.
- 02
Strike
Extend from the chamber toward the torso line with the ball or sole of the foot and a small forward hip drive.
- 03
Return
Pull the knee back to the chamber first, then place the lead foot down in a stable stance.

Common Mistake
Swinging a straight leg up from the floor and leaving the foot hanging after the kick.
Safety First
Keep the support knee soft, control the extension, and use a pad or bag for any forceful contact.
